Assignments
Who drove which vehicle and when — the history the per-driver views attribute by. Needs the drivers:read scope on API keys. Part of the documentation.
GET/assignments
Lists one device's driver-assignment history, newest first. assigned_until: null marks the current driver. Administrators link drivers on the Devices page; every change opens a new window here, so the full history stays queryable.

GET/driver/assignments
Lists one driver's vehicle history, newest first — same shape as GET /assignments. Use it to resolve which vehicle a driver used on a given day before you pull their trips.
